April 24, 2012 - NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY FOR WRITTEN PUBLIC COMMENT

The Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines Commission is seeking written public comment on proposed modifications to the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines.  The Commission has engaged in a primarily stylistic revision of the Guidelines with the goal of making them easier to read, use, and understand. 

Any person wishing to comment on the proposed modifications may do so by submitting comments in written form by mail or email as follows:

A printed copy of the proposed modifications has been placed on reserve at the State Law Library in St. Paul.

Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines and Commentary

* The Commission was given legislative authority pursuant to 2012 Minn. Laws Ch. 229 to reissue the Sex Offender Grid to correct errors in the calculation of the ranges displayed in each cell. The affected Sex Offender Grids have been modified accordingly. No other changes have been made to the Guidelines.
